Sebastian Alvarado — You are absolutely right. There are indeed great opportunities ahead of us. With the inane simplicity of communication whatsapp has to offer, it can be a great avenue for businesses to disseminate useful information with their consumer base, as long as facebook maintains the sanity of not adding too many bells and whistles to the product.
I do expect a whatsapp for business api in near future, but since this year’s f8 conference has passed us by, I think we may need to wait for at least a year for the big reveal. For the time being, what businesses can do is really limited in nature.
